Crystal’s background in photography grew from an obsession with light, texture, and color. Candere Clay was born of this passion for how those same elements play together to create one-of-a-kind handmade lighting designs.

The duality of Crystal’s pottery aesthetic comes through with the chaotic and, often-unpredictable, alchemy of the pit firing process as it contrasts the bone-white meticulously thrown and hand-carved translucent porcelain. In life there is always room for intention and pause among beautiful chaos.
