9”H x 5” W (approximately)

Blazing flame and magical alchemy react to create a truly one of a kind piece. Firing ceramics in a pit or open flame is the oldest method of firing pottery and dates back to at least 29,000 BCE. This is an ancient technique that connects us back to the elements of the earth in its most raw and elemental form. The pots are buried in a pit in the ground, covered with combustible materials, and set ablaze to harden the clay, creating unique, unglazed pieces. No two will ever be the same much as is the case in nature.

Interior sealed with sealant but piece is meant for decoration only. Not food safe and not guaranteed water tight over time.

This one-of-a-kind piece has been hand-thrown, carefully turned, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired in a kiln once more.

Handmade one-of-a-kind art. Small imperfections are the nature of artisanal perfection.

Please handle with care.
